As AR Analyst, you will be responsible for the receivables processes related to the cash application of premiums and direct bill receipts, timely discrepancy resolution, aged receivable analysis and preparation of reports as needed. You will provide support to the AR Credit and Collections team and other accounting functions with an emphasis on customer service, research, analysis and problem resolution. Your workflow will include ongoing duties and ad hoc requests. Specifically, you will:

  • Research and resolve client inquiries and disputes.
  • Provide maintenance of designated AR accounts, including accountability for reducing delinquency, keeping record of charges and payments, etc.
  • Generate and coordinate client weekly reporting or billing.
  • Strategically work with clients in collecting and processing payments, working closely with internal departments, including Sales, to resolve billing issues.
  • Review and organize collection workload according to degree and amount of delinquency to effectively collect past due balances.
  • Provide customer service regarding collection issues, review and maintain accounts for credit limits, resolve invoice discrepancies and short payments.
In addition, you will:
  • Enlist the efforts of Sales and senior management and other internal departments when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
  • Communicate and follow up effectively with internal departments regarding customer accounts on a timely basis. Maintain accurate records in databases and provide reports on activities as needed.
  • Monitor, analyze and release orders daily in accordance with policy requirements.
  • Evaluate customer records to recommend payment resolution based on historical trends and purchase activity.
  • Run credit checks on potential clients and review financial data. Escalate problematic checks with sales organization. Update databases with credit information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to Sales Tax returns and freight claims.

To thrive and excel in this role, you will bring strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strict attention to detail and accuracy. To be a strong fit for the Accounts Receivable Analyst opportunity, you will have:
  • An associate's degree in Accounting or a related field and some professional experience OR 4-5 years of experience in credit and collections  Quick question for you - click here
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office, particularly Word and Excel (formulas, reporting, VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, etc.); experience with JD Edwards is a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to compose emails and work with clients and internal team members (managers and employees)
  • Accurate data entry and 10-key ability
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer
